"Tuesdays are special days for us. We launched our soft opening on a Tuesday, we send our newsletters on Tuesdays (when possible 🥴), and now our official ribbon cutting ceremony will be on a Tuesday. This day seems to be special in our hearts and this particular Tuesday, October 22nd, is a bitter sweet day for C+C. It’s the day our father was welcomed into this world. We have always loved to remember him on this day, listen to his favorite 60s music, wear an old t-shirt of his, we’ve even left his favorite candy (Peanut M&Ms) on his gravestone one year. 10/22 is a day we always celebrated ever since we were born, but now since he’s left us, we celebrate it differently. 

This Tuesday, 10/22 we will celebrate again in honor and memory of our father. He would lovingly joke to remind us kids all the time, “if it wasn’t for me, y’all wouldn’t be here” and this Tuesday that will ring truer for us more than it ever has. If it wasn’t for him, CC Studio would definitely not be here. Him and our mother, Jacque, owned many spaces in that same Kenilworth Corner building, C. Guy Maxcy & Associates, Maxcy Group Insurance, Maxcy’s Menswear, and now it’s been passed down to us.

Please join us on perhaps the most special part of our Grand Opening, our ribbon cutting ceremony! The ceremony will be short and sweet, with some refreshments after to mingle and reminisce the good ole days. If you knew our Dad and would like to just come and honor him with us (and don’t plan ever to attend a fitness class haha) please come by. 

This event is in celebration of all he gave us and taught us as his children. Because if it wasn’t for him, we sure wouldn’t be here. C+C🤍🌿"
