In recent years Veteran's Day has come and gone with little or no recognition. We would like to see that changed.

This year's Veteran's Day falls on a weekend, Saturday November 11th. Our vision is to have the largest countywide parade and celebration in the history of Highlands County. A mission of this magnitude requires involvement from the whole community. 

First, we ask ALL our Veteran Organizations to get on board with this mission. We need at least one (1) representative of each organization to step up and be part of the execution of this mission. 

Second, we would like to have the city, county and all three Chamber of Commerce officials help promote this great endeavor by sharing the event in their community. 

Third, we ask the community leaders to get involved. We invite all businesses, schools, churches, profit, and nonprofit organizations to become a sponsor and participate in this year's event to show your appreciation to our local Veterans. 

Finally, we ask the community to get involved. Show your pride in your city.
